mtg lotr rarest cards Lord of the Rings Commander #349 Elessar, the Elfstone Mythic Rare Foil Archivist of Gondor (Extended Art)

Ive used it to cast things as innocuous as Cultivate all the way up to exiling a Surge to Victory and exiling my Ephemerate while I had Aurelia, the Warleader in play (spoilers: thats a combo)

This theme continues through to one of the other new mechanics, Emerge , which appears on giant Eldrazi creatures with colourless mana costsbut with the option to burst forth from your existing creatures for coloured mana, getting a discount in exchange for sacrificing one of your allies

If the deck can consistently deliver poison counters while protecting its key creatures, then this card could see play

it's not available from the standard list of cards in cities or a Nomad's Bazaar

The body is also much better on its own than Craterhoof and so you can just play it as more of a standalone threat

However, if the spell for which the gift was promised is countered, the gift will not be given, and none of the spells effects will happen
